How it works
Four steps, about two minutes. Then we print your book and post it to you.
Choose a story
Each title is a complete bedtime story, illustrated throughout. Every copy of it is printed fresh for the child it is for.
Choose your character
Ten children to pick from, five boys and five girls, with different hair and skin tones. The one you choose is the child who appears throughout the book — not on one page, on every page they are in.
Type the name
The name goes on the cover and runs through the story, with the words around it adjusted so it reads properly rather than looking dropped in. You can add a short gift message too, which is printed on its own dedication page at the front.
Check the spelling. We print exactly what you type, so a typo becomes a book. There is more about this in the FAQ.
We print it and post it
Your book is printed to order in the UK and dispatched within about 5 working days. Nothing sits in a warehouse, because until you ordered it, this copy did not exist.
What actually arrives
A 216 × 216 mm square softcover picture book, 24 pages, printed on heavy matte paper by Bookvault, United Kingdom. It is a real book, the size and weight of one you would buy in a shop — not a printout in a folder.
It is a gift, so it looks like one. The child’s name is on the cover, and your message is the first thing inside. Most people are buying this for someone else’s face when they open it.
