These are the terms on which Ben's Book Boutique sells personalised books through bensbookboutique.com.

Ben's Book Boutique, trading at bensbookboutique.com. You can reach us at hello@bensbookboutique.com, which is the fastest way to get an answer about an order.
Your order
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm it. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example if a title is withdrawn — we will tell you and refund you in full.
Personalisation
We print exactly the details you give us. The name, and any gift message, are reproduced as typed, including spelling and capitalisation. Please check them before paying; they appear on your confirmation email.
We may decline to print a personalisation that is offensive, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that we reasonably believe is not being used as intended. If we do, we will refund you in full.
Price and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay. Payment is taken at checkout by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details.
If a price is obviously wrong through a genuine error, we will contact you before printing rather than either honouring an absurd price or charging you more without asking.
Printing and delivery
Books are printed to order in the UK by Bookvault, United Kingdom and dispatched within approximately 5 working days. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees; once a parcel is with the courier its timing is not in our hands, though chasing it is our job and not yours.
We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.
Cancellation and returns
Because our books are personalised and made to order, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply, under regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your rights where a book is faulty, damaged or not as described are unaffected. This is set out in full on the Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
How the books are made
Illustrations are created with AI assistance and then edited and laid out by us. Stories are written by us. We mention it here because you should know what you are buying.
Intellectual property
The stories, illustrations and design remain ours. Buying a book gives you the book — to read, keep and give away — not the right to reproduce or resell its contents.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer always stand.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Buying through our Etsy shop instead? Etsy’s own policies apply to that order in addition to these terms, and where they conflict, Etsy’s take precedence for purchases made there.
